Authorities have identified a man who died in a crash that occurred Saturday in Maryland.

       Prince George’s County police said the accident happened around 3:40 a.m. Saturday at Old Fort and Old Palmer roads.

       An initial investigation found that the driver was heading east on Old Fort Road when he went off the road and hit a pole. It is not known what caused him to go off the road, police said.

       He was the only person in the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. Police later identified him as Olando Bharat, 44, of Fort Washington.
