As of Saturday night, two people were dead and at least 21 were wounded in gun violence since Friday evening, Chicago police said.
The latest shooting happened shortly before 7 p.m. in the Marquette Park neighborhood in the 3000 block of West 65th Street. Police said two men, ages 30 and 36, were in a vehicle headed west on 65th Street when they both were shot.
The vehicle they were inside struck a parked car on that block. The older victim suffered a wound to the left shoulder, and was taken in critical condition to Holy Cross Hospital. The younger man was shot in the head, and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, according to police.
Shortly before 6:45 p.m., a 19-year-old man was left in critical condition after an attack in the Back of the Yards neighborhood in the 4700 block of South Wolcott Avenue, police said.
The man was on the street when someone approached and opened fire, striking him to the chest. He was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center.

About 5:40 p.m. Saturday, a 21-year-old man was shot in the 4100 block of West 47th Street when a gunman fired into his vehicle, striking him in the right arm. He was taken in good condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, police said. About 4:10 p.m., a 28-year-old man was shot in the Roseland neighborhood in the 10200 block of South State Street. The victim was on the street when someone in a vehicle pulled up and began shooting, hitting the man in the left foot. He was taken in good condition to Roseland Community Hospital, police said. About 1:35 p.m., a 17-year-old boy was shot while he was inside an Englewood neighborhood apartment in the 7100 block of South Normal Avenue. He was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in serious condition with a wound to the abdomen, police said. About 2:05 p.m., a 34-year-old man was shot while he was inside a parked vehicle in the East Garfield Park neighborhood in the 3900 block of West Jackson Boulevard. He suffered a wound to the neck and was taken in critical condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, police said . About 11:45 a.m., a 44-year-old man was critically wounded in a shooting in the first block of East 21st Street in the South Loop neighborhood. A person he was arguing with pulled out a gun and shot him in the right side of the abdomen. He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, police said. About 9:20 a.m., a 63-year-old man was shot by someone who fired through his door and struck him while he was sitting on his couch in the 300 block of West 110th Street in the Roseland neighborhood. He was hit in the left rear and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawnm where his condition was stabilized, police said. Shortly before 6:30 a.m., four victims were shot in the 3500 block of West Walnut Avenue in the East Garfield Park neighborhood. The victims were standing outside when someone approached in a vehicle and opened fire in their direction. A 36-year-old man was hit in the foot, a 33-year-old woman was struck in the right ankle, a 35-year-old man was struck in the left leg, and another man, 34, was hit in the chest and the left leg. The conditions of all four victims were stabilized at Mount Sinai Hospital, police said.
