Rishi Sunak fired back at the BBC's Laura Kuenssberg during a grilling over Brexit.
The Prime Minister was pressed about claims that the UK's departure from the EU has hit the economy since the 2016 referendum, as well as comments by business minister Kevin Hollinrake this week that it is now more difficult for some businesses to trade with the bloc.

But Mr Sunak highlighted how the UK had joined the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) trade bloc in the biggest post-Brexit deal to date.
But Mr Sunak said: "You haven't mentioned we're the first European nation to join the CPTPP trade deal. That's a big moment, that's one of the fastest-growing parts of the world.
"We were negotiating very closely with India and I'm confident that we will be the first European country, again under a Conservative government if we're re-elected, to negotiate the trade deal that steep with India, which again is one of the fastest growing parts of the world.

"I don't think it's right for Labour to end up re-accepting EU rules that we have no say over and accept some free movement of people when we want to get immigration down."
The host then told Mr Sunak that viewers want to "stick to the policies of the person who is sitting in the chair" after his accusations against Labour.
Ms Kuenssberg said: "I'll remind you, as I have every politician in the last six weeks, that our viewers want us to stick to the party's policies of the person who is sitting in the chair, with respect."

Asked whether he thought he would still be Prime Minister on Friday, he said: "Yes.
"I'm fighting very hard and I think people are waking up to the real danger of what a Labour government means."
