KUALA LUMPUR: Official local Ferrari importer and distributor Naza Italia is expecting the latest Ferrari 296 GTB model to drum up more appeal to the Italian sports car brand.
Naza Corp Holdings Sdn Bhd automotive group CEO Datuk Nik Hamdam Nik Hassan said the two-seater plug-in hybrid is a defining part of Ferrari’s new era of electric technology and takes the marque to thrilling new heights.
“The 296 GTB’s technology combined with immense power and striking design, make it a definite showstopper,” he said at the introduction of the car here on Monday. The 296 GTB is priced at RM1.228mil excluding duties, customisation options, taxes and insurance.
The hybrid comes with a 2.99-litre 120° V6 turbocharged engine and electric motor combination that delivers a total output of 830 horsepower for a 0-100 km per hour (kph) sprint in 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 330kph. Aside from the usage of carbon-fibre parts, the car also gets Formula One-derived technologies, advanced aerodynamics and enhanced driving systems to provide a motorsports-like experience.
