Her boyfriend, Alex Quinteros, 29, of Takoma Park, was previously arrested and charged with murder in Gutierrez’s killing, authorities said. He is being held without bond, according to online court records.
Man was followed from check-cashing business before he was killed, police say
Officers responded on the evening of April 14 to a reported shooting in the 2100 block of Guilford Road, police said. They found Perez Gutierrez and another victim with gunshot wounds near the entrance of an apartment building, according to charging documents. Perez Gutierrez was pronounced dead at the scene. The other victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

According to charging documents, before the shooting, Perez Gutierrez and the other surviving victim had stopped at a check-cashing location nearby and withdrew more than $1,000.
Police said in charging documents that Andrade “stalked” Perez Gutierrez and the other victim from the check-cashing business to the apartment complex. She drove the car and dropped off Quinteros at the crime scene and then “helped him flee with the murder weapon,” according to charging documents.
Neither Andrade nor Quinteros knew the victims, police said.
Online court records show Andrade and Quinteros are being represented by the public defender’s office. A spokeswoman for the Maryland Office of the Public Defender declined to comment Thursday afternoon.
