One man was killed in a double shooting in Northeast Washington on Friday night, D.C. police said.

       Davon Childs, 34, of Hyattsville, Md., was found by police, unconscious and unresponsive, at about 10:06 p.m. in the hallway of an apartment building in the 2300 block of Fourth Street NE, police said Saturday. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

       A second man shot in the same incident was transported to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

       The shooting apparently occurred in a building in the Edgewood area, just north of Rhode Island Avenue NE and not far from the Rhode Island Avenue stop on Metro’s Red Line.

       No information was immediately available about any motive or suspects in the shooting.
