On February 14, 2019, at 12:00, the Valdai Discussion Club will hold a press briefing on the eve of its 8th Middle East Conference, titled “Middle East: New Stage, Old Problems?”.

       The 8th Middle East Conference of the Valdai Club will be held in Moscow on February 19-20 in partnership with the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The conference will bring together experts from more than 15 countries including high-ranking representatives from Syria, Palestine, Egypt, Iran and other states. This year, the experts are expected to summarize the changes that the region has experienced over the past decade and to give a forecast of its further development in the fields of security, energy, combatting radicalism, etc.

       Participants in the press briefing will have an opportunity to learn firsthand about the details of the conference and ask the organizers any questions regarding the event.
