A 16-year-old boy was fatally wounded Tuesday afternoon in a drive-by shooting in the Lawndale neighborhood, Chicago police said.

       Shortly after 1 p.m., the boy was walking down the street in the 4100 block of West 15th Street when someone inside a dark-colored KIA Sportage opened fire, police said.

       The boy suffered gunshot wounds to the head and hand, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

       No one was in custody and detectives were investigating.
