HORRIFIED police officers rushed to a "body" spotted floating in a pond - only to discover it was far less sinister than they feared.
The eerie figure in Congleton, Cheshire, was in fact a mannequin in a brown wig and blue Avatar onesie lying on an orange lifebuoy.

PCSOs Short and Gillett were called to the pond on Sunday to investigate the sinister spot.
They were relieved to uncover the mannequin, which was dressed in a costume from the hit James Cameron film and a matted brown wig.
Two pictures were shared to social media by Gawsworth Chelford Police.
One showed the mannequin floating on life-saving equipment as a PCSO carefully walked towards it.
Another pictured the bizarre discovery lying on the grass with its blue striped tail curling off to one side.
The force issued a stark warning about the "dangerous" water and the risks of "messing around" with equipment - but said they were "thankful" no-one was really hurt.
