Harvey police have not released any information on the deaths of two people last week that the Cook County medical examiner’s office ruled were homicides.
Mayor Christopher Clark’s office also has not provided information regarding the death of 32-year-old Darius Haynes and one other person. The deaths were reported shortly after 3:30 a.m. June 23, according to the medical examiner.
The shootings took place in the 15100 block of South Dixie Highway, according to the medical examiner.
Haynes, of the 7400 block of South Kimbark Avenue in Chicago, was pronounced dead at Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Harvey and had multiple gunshot wounds, the medical examiner reported.
The other person, whose identity has not been released, died at Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn and had a gunshot wound to the left arm and into the chest, the medical examiner said. The family had not yet been contacted regarding the death as of Monday morning, according to the medical examiner.
