REMBAU: An elderly couple was killed after the motorcycle they were riding collided with a car at the 5.6km of Jalan Pedas-Linggi near here.

       A. Munisamy, 70, and his wife L. Annapurni, 65, died on the spot in the 8am incident from serious head injuries.

       OCPD Deputy Supt Hazri Mohamad said the couple from Taman Koperasi in Pedas was believed to have been heading towards Kundur.

       He said upon reaching the stretch, their motorcycle collided with an oncoming car driven by a 36-year-old woman.

       Their remains have been sent to Hospital Rembau for a post-mortem.

       The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act.
