KAJANG: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has distanced himself from a purported "addendum order" for former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak to serve the remainder of his sentence under house arrest.

Speaking to reporters after prayers on Friday (April 19), the Prime Minister said he did not want to get involved in the matter.

"This falls under the jurisdiction of the Pardons Board, over which the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and the Malay Rulers have absolute authority," he said.

It was reported that the Royal addendum order was from the former Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah.

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, in his affidavit in support of Najib's application for leave to commence a judicial review, claimed this was granted to Najib along with his royal pardon.

The Umno president claimed former Selangor Umno treasurer Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz showed him a copy of the order on his phone on Jan 30.
