MCDONALD'S is slashing the price of two menu favourites - but customers will have to be quick.

       Morning commuters and lovers of the fast food giant will be delighted to know the Breakfast Roll will be available from ￡1.99.

       If that leaves you craving more, the McCrispy will be available for just ￡2.49 from 11am - a price drop of ￡2.80.

       In order to access the reduced items, which are available for only 24 hours, customers need to download the McDonald's app.

       Those following McDonald's Rewards can also pick up points for purchasing the items, MailOnline reports.

       The Breakfast Roll contains sausage, egg, cheese and crispy bacon and comes with either brown or red sauce- or none at all - in a sourdough bun.

       It is normally sold for ￡2.89, but is available for 90p less.

       The McCrispy, meanwhile, is usually sold at ￡5.29 and contains a chicken breast fillet with iceberg lettuce and black pepper mayonnaise inside a sesame seed-filled bun.

       But it is available for less than half the normal price for the period.

       Customers can opt in to My McDonald's Rewards to pick up points towards potential treats.

       It comes as customers can get four items from its menu for free when they earn a certain amount of points.

       Customers who are opted in to MyMcDonald’s Rewards and order and pay through the McDonald’s App will automatically earn points on their order.

       This includes when you order for delivery.

       Purchasing a Breakfast Roll will earn customers 199 points tomorrow, with the McCrispy resulting in a further 249.

       At 1,500 points, customers are rewarded with a free item including a hash brown, small fried or a soft drink.

       You can also get a free double cheeseburger at 2,500 points and six chicken nuggets or a Big Mac at 4,000.

       You can get freebies on your birthday if you've got the My McDonald's app - it's free to download and you'll only need a few quick details to get set up.

       McDonald's serves breakfast every day until 11am.
