       KUWAIT CITY, June 24: The Ministry of Social Affairs has discovered cash deposits in the local bank accounts of some charity societies without the knowledge of the ministry, reports Al-Qabas daily. The daily quoting the ministry sources said this is done in violation of the decision of the Council of Ministers, which forbids collection of cash donations – the facility that is limited to the Zakat House and General Secretariat of Endowments.

       The ministry has asked local banks and exchange companies not to accept any cash deposits from charity societies without the written approval of the Ministry of Social Affairs specifying the amount to be deposited and the name of the person responsible for depositing the amount, even if it is through money transfer companies
