The Duke of Cambridge revealed that The Gruffalo was popular with George and Charlotte when talking to author Julia Donaldson and illustrator Axel Scheffler.He said; "It’s a big hit in our household, The Gruffalo."

       First published in 1999 the book tells the story of a mouse who befriends a Gruffalo.

       Although the Gruffalo is a bizarre creature who looks terrifying underneath, he is very tender.

       Public fascination with the Royal Family shows no sign of diminishing.
