Royal commentator Omid Scobie argued that Prince William and Prince Harry are unlikely to have the time for a personal discussion during the Princess Diana statue unveiling. Mr Scobie argued Prince William and Kate will be sticking vigorously to their busy royal schedule. He noted that this meant either Harry or William will have to quickly resolve their issue.

       He also highlighted that Prince Harry will be flying back to the US soon after the statue display as well.

       Mr Scobie said: "It won't be the setting for a personal discussion.

       "We know that William and Kate have busy engagements throughout the week.

       "Kate has got a Wimbledon appearance so time will tell.

       "Prince Harry is flying back to the US pretty quickly after this.

       "If there is going to be that moment, someone is going to have to grab it pretty much as soon as this engagement finishes."

       Prince William and Harry have had their friends push the pair to reconcile their relationship over the last few months.

       However, Royal expert Robert Lacey argued the pair are remaining "obstinate".

       Mr Lacey said: "When Charles and Diana split, their friends joined them, there was a sort of open war.

       "Now everybody wants to bring the brothers together but at the moment they are proving obstinate.

       "We are just hoping that when it comes to the unveiling of the status of their mother Diana on Thursday maybe that will change.

       Mr Lacey also previously said on Good Morning Britain: "One would say, surely when they are gathered together to honour their mother and what Princess Diana stood for that will be the time we can hope for some kind of reconciliation.

       "Otherwise if they just appear together in front of the statue and there is nothing more I think we will rightly conclude that it is a superficial gesture.

       "If you are putting up a statue to Diana, who would have thought that 25 years ago."
