Prince Harry and Prince William have been dogged by rumours of an ongoing feud since the Duke of Sussex characterised his relationship with his older brother as "space." Royal author Omid Scobie, the author of Harry and Meghan Markle's unauthorised biography Finding Freedom, claimed the relationship remains tense and reconciliation "hasn't happened yet." Mr Scobie discussed the claims as he spoke of the additions made to his and co-author Caroline Durant's book, which the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have distanced themselves from upon rejecting allegations of having collaborated with the authors.

       Speaking on This Morning, Mr Scobie said: "I think one thing I wanted to give in this update was a positive update on the family fractures and how they mended.

       "Unfortunately, that hasn't really happened.

       "I think a lot of that has to do with the pandemic, none of us have been going anywhere, Harry and Meghan live nearly 4,000 miles away.

       "So when Harry is here for those really important family moments, and there's been two of them - the unveiling of the statue for Diana but also Prince Philip's funeral - those moments, everyone involved has made sure the focus remains on that and nothing else.

       "There hasn't really been that opportunity to sit down.'

       Prince Harry stepped down from his official royal duties alongside wife Meghan Markle in March 2020.

       After conducting a last series of engagements with his patronages, the Duke relocated with his family to California, where he has spent the majority of the past two years.

       Since their move, the couple have set up a non-profit organisation, Archewell, and struck several deals with the likes of Netflix and Spotify to produce educational documentaries and podcasts.

       The Duke of Sussex in June also announced he will be penning his autobiography, which is due for release in 2022.

       Penguin Random House spokesman Markus Dohle describe Harry as one among "world-renowned leaders, icons, and change-makers we have been privileged to publish over the years".

       A press release described the book as "intimate and heartfelt" and "honest and moving".

       The release added: "Prince Harry will offer an honest and captivating personal portrait, one that shows readers that behind everything they think they know lies an inspiring, courageous, and uplifting human story."
