KUALA LUMPUR: UEM Edgenta Bhd will focus on integrating facilities management with technology through Internet of Things (IoT) and real-time analytics, while actively positioning environmental, social and governance (ESG) solutions in its target growth markets, Bernama reported
Independent non-executive chairman Tan Sri Dr Azmil Khalid said the global expansion strategy was on the back of transitioning to an endemic phase as the global economic recovery gathers pace in 2022.
“The group’s Edgenta of the Future 2025 strategy promises a greater focus on our solutions base and continued expansion into international markets in our pursuit to transform ourselves to becoming a leading technology-based solutions company by 2025,” he said.He explained that an increased emphasis on the importance of ESG in the strategies would bolster the group’s fundamentals and lead towards a path of sustainable growth.
“We will be commercialising more technology solutions such as software-as-a-service and platform-as-a-service with our array of artificial intelligence solutions as a differentiator and disruptor,” he said.
In healthcare support, he said the group have implemented Building Energy Management System IoT to track asset movement and utilisation, in addition to leveraging on mechanisation and robotics to increase productivity in service delivery.
