A WIDOW has revealed how her "nightmare" ordeal is finally over after her neighbour was evicted following a vile campaign.

Margaret Ilkovics, 60, had raw octopus shoved through her letterbox and eggs and cocoa powder chucked at her door by Anthony Kenyon.

In a heartbreaking move, the social worker also destroyed a shrine to her late husband of 20 years Rick in Margaret's garden.

Kenyon has now been slapped with a four-year restraining order and evicted from his home in Salford, Greater Manchester.

Speaking of her relief, Margaret said she was "so happy" - but still fears the nightmare neighbour could return.

The mum-of-three told Mail Online: "I can smile again and finally look forward to a happy Christmas after all this time.

"However, I can feel relieved that justice has been done and he won't be living next door to me again.

"My living nightmare may finally be at an end. It's been hell."

The ordeal first began in 2018 after Margaret's husband passed away from cancer aged just 54.

She decided to make a shrine for Rick that included ornaments, a memory box and shrubs under a tree in a communal garden.

But Kenyon said the memorial was a "health and safety breach" and ripped the tree out, used weed killer on the plants and damaged the ornaments.

He even chucked some of the trinkets in a wheelie bin when Margaret went on holiday and wrote sick letters claiming she only married Rick for his money.

Kenyon also called ambulances to the mum's home claiming she needed "taking away" and would "rant and rave" at her from his window as the harassment campaign continued.

Despite being hauled before the courts three times, the neighbour continued his twisted campaign of "mental torture".

The gran was left terrified Kenyon would harm her as he chucked objects at her head and poured petrol in the garden.

He also bizarrely shoved raw octopus through her letterbox and covered her door in cocoa powder and eggs.

Margaret said: "He tormented me and hounded me day after day, night after night.

"It was a living hell. I was a prisoner in my own home. I could hear him banging and shouting abuse through the walls.

"I was scared to leave my front door as he'd be out there ready for me if I left. I really want to end it and kill myself.

"It was horrendous. I would cry out for my husband even though he died."

The nightmare only ended when Margaret forked out hundreds on CCTV so she could catch Kenyon in the act.

He was this week handed a 13-month sentence suspended for 18 months for his "petty and vindictive behaviour".

Margaret said: "At least he can't come anywhere near there now.
