Kulai OCPD Supt Tok Beng Yeow said the police received a distress call from the 31-year-old woman at about 8.30am on Aug 16, claiming that a man had tried to enter her house.
The woman claimed that she was sleeping and noticed that the man had tried to break into her house.
“The victim then called her friend to come over and a fight then broke out between the two. However, upon further investigation, the woman said that the victim was beaten due to debt issues,” he said.
