EUROMILLIONS winner Adrian Bayford is "consumed with guilt" as his son is fighting for his life after a horror quad bike smash, friends say.

Cameron, 13, was hit by a car driven by his sister, Aimee, 15, in the sprawling grounds of their Cambridgeshire mansion.

The Sun exclusively revealed yesterday the details of the horror smash as Cameron is fighting for his life in intensive care with his family at his bedside.

Aimee raised the alarm after her brother was flung from his machine and through a fence.

It is understood the car and quad bike were gifts bought for the kids by former postie Adrian, 49.

And a friend told the MailOnline: "Adrian just feels consumed with guilt. He just keeps thinking 'what if.'

"The kids were on his watch as they were with him while their mum was in Scotland.

"It is much too powerful for a young lad to ride. I know he is regretting letting him go out on it."

The quad bike was reportedly bought by Adrian to get around the grounds, one of his "boy toys" from his big win.

Daughter Aimee is too young to drive, but no licence was needed as it was on private property.

A source told The Sun: “He’s fighting for his life. It’s touch and go. This is devastating for Adrian and the whole family.

“Adrian is a lovely bloke who cares dearly about his kids. They were having fun at home and a tragic accident happened.”

A family friend said of the son: “He’s in intensive care and he’s in a bad way. He’s sedated right now and everyone is just out of their minds with worry.

“His sister is really shaken up by the whole thing. It’s a nightmare.”

An air ambulance was scrambled to the remote 148-acre estate in Cambridgeshire, but the lad was taken by road to a local hospital.

Pals said the boy’s family — including mum Gillian, 48 — have been at his bedside while he is in intensive care.

Adrian — who won £148million with now ex-wife Gillian in 2012 — recently moved back to the Grade II-listed £12million mansion.

Gillian — who has since remarried — has been at the hospital constantly after dashing down from her home in Scotland.

The crash happened at about 3pm last Monday. A police spokesman said: “We were called with reports that a car and a quad bike had collided on private land.

"The rider of the quad, a teenage boy, was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge with serious injuries.”

Adrian moved to Scotland last year to be nearer to his kids, who live with Gillian.

Pals thought he had flogged the country pile. But The Sun told this month how he took the mansion off the market and moved back there.
