PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said (pic) has been appointed as the Prime Minister's law and human rights advisor.
"God-willing, with all I have, I will do my best for the country," she said in a Facebook post on Saturday (Oct 2).
She also shared an article about her appointment.
Azalina thanked Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob for his trust.
According to Free Malaysia Today, Azalina received her appointment letter from the prime minister last Thursday (SEpt ).
Prior to this, Azalina had resigned from her post as the Dewan Rakyat deputy speaker on Aug 23.
The Pengerang MP cited several reasons for her resignation, including conflict of roles and responsibilities between being an Umno supreme council member and an MP in the ruling coalition.
