A large fire at an industrial premises on Juno Road in Leamington Spa has led emergency services to evacuate the surrounding area, Warwickshire Police have confirmed.

       The force said that properties within 70 metres of the site on Juno Drive are currently being evacuated.

       A huge plume of black smoke can be seen billowing from the blaze.

       Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service said that fire engines have been sent to the scene.

       In a statement posted on their Twitter, the police said that emergency services are currently in attendance and road closures are in place.

       They asked nearby residents to keep their windows and doors closed.

       Public Health England have also urged people in the affected areas to stay indoors to avoid the smoke, which they said can worsen health problems such as asthma and heart conditions.

       They also advised motorists to keep windows closed, turn off air conditioning and keep air vents closed.
