       KUWAIT CITY, May 24: The Public Authority for Food and Nutrition has warned that peanut butter products made in the USA may be contaminated with salmonella, reports Al-Jarida daily. The authority said that there is a possibility that the peanut butter product (JIF) from the J. M. Smucker company, produced in the United States of America, may be contaminated with salmonella. The authority clarified that the warning regarding the product concerns batch numbers from 1274425 to 2140425, or if the first seven digits end with 425 and the state of origin is “Lexington, Kentucky in the United States of America.”

       The authority affirmed that the necessary measures have been taken to ensure that the market is free of the warned product.
