POLICE are investigating the "unexplained" deaths of a man and woman in a quiet village.
Emergency crews were scrambled to Holcombe in Devon last Thursday following reports of a concern for welfare.

They discovered a man and woman dead inside a home in the village, which is close to Teignmouth and Dawlish.
Police said they believe the pair, who are both aged in their 30s, are known to each other.
They are treating their deaths as unexplained and a probe has been launched.
Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police are investigating the unexplained deaths of two people found at an address in Dawlish on Thursday 21 October.
"Officers attended the property in Holcombe at 10.45am following a report of concern for welfare.
"Both deaths are currently being treated as unexplained.

"Formal identification is yet to be carried out but it is believed that the two people are in their 30s and known to each other.
"Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the deaths."
