PETALING JAYA: Fraser & Neave Holdings Bhd’s (F&N) net profit for its first quarter ended Dec 31, 2021 dropped 32% to RM92.95mil from RM136.81mil in the previous corresponding period due to a combination of commodity price pressures, impact from the recent Malaysian floods and foreign exchange translation loss due to a weaker Thai baht.
Revenue in the quarter, meanwhile, rose to RM1.11bil from RM1.08bil a year earlier.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, F&N said domestic sales were impacted from the fourth week of December due to floods in Selangor and other states.
