KUALA LUMPUR: Samaiden Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Samaiden Group Bhd, has secured a RM46.4 million worth of contract from Greenviro Solutions Sdn Bhd to undertake, among others, the engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) works in Penang.

       The EPCC works, is in relation to the development of a 10MWac large scale solar photovoltaic (LSSPV) power plant at Lot 1478, Mukim 8, Nibong Tebal, Seberang Perai Selatan.

       Greenviro is a company incorporated in Malaysia which is in the business of providing solid waste management services and it is also involved in renewable energy generation through harvesting of solar energy, extracting landfill methane gas and developing anaerobic digester system for electricity production.

       "The EPCC scope of work includes the design, supply, delivery, installation, testing and commissioning in connection with the project,” the company said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia today.

       Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the contract is expected to contribute positively towards the future earnings of Samaiden and its subsidiaries for the duration of the award.

       At lunch break, shares of the EPCC solutions provider rose 0.80 per cent to RM1.26 with 513,500 shares transacted. - Bernama
