       KUWAIT CITY, June 8: The Committee for Implementation of Security Council Resolutions issued under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations on combating terrorism and preventing the spread of weapons of mass destruction at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday decided to issue a list of individuals and entities regarded as terrorists, reports Al-Rai daily quoting sources.

       Sources affirmed this is part of the efforts of the State of Kuwait to combat terrorism and dry up its resources. Sources disclosed this action is in partnership with the United States of America — the co-chair of the Terrorist Financing Targeting Center with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in addition to all members of the center as follows: Kingdom of Bahrain, State of Kuwait, Sultanate of Oman, State of Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). These measures are considered a continuation of the efforts exerted by the center targeting the financing of terrorism.

       These measures also confirm the keenness of the State of Kuwait and other member-states to deepen partnership with the United States of America in suppressing the financing of terrorist groups that pose a threat to the interests and security of the member-states of the center, sources explained. In accordance with Security Council Resolution No. 1373/2001 issued under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations; the concerned authorities in the country will take the necessary measures in line with the Constitution of Kuwait, as well as its laws and regulations.
