Tee, who is also Pontian MCA division chief said that the central leadership was still deciding on the matter and nothing has been confirmed.
"I thanked Pontian MCA division for proposing my name to contest in the Pulai Sebatang seat but we leave the final decision to Barisan and MCA's central leadership.
"Anything that is being said outside are just rumours since no final decision has been made yet.
"We are a disciplined party and we will listen to the decision made by the central leadership," he said.
