PETALING JAYA: Police issued 219 compound notices for standard operating procedure violations (SOP) on Wednesday (Aug 11).
Senior Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein said police also remanded 37 persons.
"Compliance task force operations teams with 18,444 personnel conducted 89,183 spot checks and inspections on Wednesday.
"Following failure to comply with SOP, 60 premises were ordered to shut down immediately," he said in a statement on Thursday (Aug 12).
He said the task force checked 1,620 factories, 16,873 business premises, 467 construction sites, and 166 workers' dormitories.
"Under Ops Benteng, seven illegal immigrants were rounded up with nine vehicles seized as well. A total of 918 roadblocks were set up on the same day," he said.
On disinfection operations, Hishammuddin said 262 operations were carried out in 70 red zones and one orange zone.
"Since March 30, 2020, a total of 38,080 operations were carried out by the Fire and Rescue Department together with local government personnel.
"On mandatory quarantine, on Wednesday, 690 individuals entered the country and were placed at 83 hotels and 11 public training institutes and private education institutes.
"Since July 24 last year, a total of 268,609 individuals have returned to Malaysia, with 10,053 still under quarantine," he said.
