COPS have launched a major investigation after the bodies of a man and a woman were found at a house.

       The bodies of a 45-year-old woman and a 57-year-old man, believed to have been dead for weeks, were discovered at a property in Redditch, Worcs.

       Officers and paramedics were called to the scene after receiving reports over concerns for the welfare of a person at the house.

       Their deaths are currently being treated as unexplained.

       A West Mercia Police spokesman said: “House-to-house inquiries are being carried out and a cordon has been put in place while investigation work continues.

       “Officers remain at the scene.

       “Anyone who has any information, or who may have seen or heard anything suspicious in the area between the end of September and mid-October, is urged to call 101 or visit our website, quoting incident 403i of 28 October, 2021 or report it online via our website.

       “Alternatively, if you have information but don’t feel comfortable speaking to police, you can speak to the independent charity Crimestoppers.

       “It is 100 per cent anonymous, they never ask your name and they cannot trace your call or IP address. You can contact them online or by calling 0800 555 111.”
