       WHAT was supposed to be a joyous wedding celebration went south after the bride’s family had to prepare dishes for guests when the caterer failed to show up on the big day.

       Kosmo! reported that social media user Ajan Reduan shared the incident which occurred during his cousin’s wedding.

       “I attended my cousin’s wedding and saw that those from the catering service did not show up. The family members who were present then had to prepare the meals instead,” he said.

       He added that a police report was made as the family endured a big loss from the incident.

       The post also garnered various reactions from other users with many sharing similar experiences.

       A user known as Amirah said she too had fallen prey to such an incident.

       “The order with the caterer was for 500 people but after an hour into the ceremony, all the food had finished.

       “It was as if it was only made for 100 guests,” she said.

       Another user Asyura Haiza said it was important to always have follow-up communication with those providing such services.

       “This is important, especially when nearing the event date so that they will be aware,” she said.

       He added that he would reveal her identity at the right time since they were not yet engaged.

       He said both he and his partner were also still discussing the best time and location for the ceremony.

       “Barring any unforeseen circumstances, we are looking to get engaged in July, followed by the wedding which can hopefully take place this year,” he said.
