It’s the final day of the fantastic Dog Show run by our sister site TeamDogs, and officially time to crown the Best in Show winner.

For the last five days, we’ve asked you to show off your dog’s special talents, looks and more by entering them into daily categories such as Waggiest Tail, Golden Oldie and Most Beautiful Eyes.

We’ve loved the incredible photos and videos you’ve sent in and getting to meet adorable winners, including brown-eyed girl Lola and charming senior Cherry.

And today, with five adorable pups on the virtual podium, it’s time to finish off the Dog Show’s fantastic week by bestowing the ultimate title of ‘Best in Show’ upon one of these category-winning dogs.

The honours have been done by Dr Rory Cowlam, better known as Rory the Vet from CBeebies, Blue Peter and BBC Breakfast.

And drum roll, please… It’s Ernie, winner of Tuesday’s Waggiest Tail contest!

In case you need a refresher, this lovely waggy boy featured in an extremely cute video, which showed him reuniting with ‘his Nanny’ after three months apart during the original 2020 lockdown – and wow, can that tail go fast.

Given how many of us this video made cry happy tears, it’s definitely a well-deserved win for the black Cockapoo.

Rory explained to TeamDogs : “They’re all amazing winners and really cute. But for me, it has to be Ernie with the waggiest tale.

“I am a sucker for reunion videos – who can watch that and not have a tear come to their eye? He’s a well-deserved winner.”

       Watch the heart-warming video here.

As well as the coveted crown, the Best in Show winner will receive a special TeamDogs Dog Show rosette and an annual seasonal box subscription (value £100).

Each of the original five category winners will also get their paws on a rosette and a gift box (value £35).

However, even if your pup didn’t win a prize, they’re definitely all winners in our books, because their owners love them so much.
