KUALA LUMPUR: Hong Leong Asset Management Bhd (Hong Leong AM) won 16 awards at the Refinitiv Lipper Fund Awards 2022, including 15 individual fund awards and notably clinching the Best Equity Group Award - Malaysia Provident for the fifth time.

       The group award marks Hong Leong AM’s third consecutive win since 2020, the asset management firm said in a statement today.

       Chief executive officer Hoo See Kheng said the success came from its time-tested bottom-up stock-picking strategy whereby it seeks to gain a sufficient level of understanding of a company, including the main drivers of its profitability and business outlook, before initiating a stock position in the fund.
