Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been dealt a reminder of just how isolated they are away from the Royal Family, an expert has claimed.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have not been invited to attend Trooping the Colour to mark King Charles' birthday on June 15.
Harry and Meghan also did not attend last year, and a royal expert believes this shows their "estrangement from the core of the British monarchy."
Publicist Michael Levine told The Mirror: "This continued exclusion of Meghan and Harry from Trooping the Colour is a poignant reflection of their ongoing estrangement from the core of the British monarchy.
"Their absence for the second year running underscores the deep rifts that persist despite the pageantry and tradition that define the Royal Family. It's a stark reminder that personal conflicts can ripple through the public spectacle even in the most revered institutions."

Mr Levine added that the decision not to invite the Sussexes poses a "significant problem" for Meghan and Harry.
The couple attended Trooping the Colour in both 2018 and 2019. The event was scaled down in 2020 and 2021 due to the Covid pandemic.
In 2022, Harry and Meghan were in the UK while the event was on but did not go to Buckingham Palace with the royals.
They watched the event from above the Horse Guards Parade with non-working royals.
Trooping the Colour will mark an important public appearance for King Charles as he continues his recovery from cancer.
The Princess of Wales, who is undergoing cancer treatment herself, is unlikely to attend the event.

In a letter to the Irish Guards, Kate said: "I wanted to write to you to let you know how proud I am of the entire regiment ahead of the Colonel's Review and Trooping the Colour.
"I appreciate everyone Trooping the Colour this year has been practising for months and dedicating many hours to ensuring their uniforms and drill are immaculate.
"Being your colonel remains an honour and I am very sorry that I'm unable to make the salute at this year's Colonel's Review. Please pass on my apologies to the whole regiment.
"I do hope that I'm able to represent you all once again very soon.
"Please send my very best wishes and good luck to all involved. Quis separabit [Who shall separate (us)?]"
