Meghan Markle has secured a public relations boose in the United States following the Duchess's sit-down interview on prime time chat show Ellen. Good Morning Britain heard that while the Duchess remains a polarising figure in the United Kingdom, Americans have armed to Meghan's "lighter side" which was on display during the interview with Ellen DeGeneres. Meghan's PR machine has been described as in "full swing."

       GMB's North America Correspondent Noel Phillips said: The Duchess remains a polarising figure in the UK.

       "Here in America the interview has been... she's been applauded for the interview.

       "In fact, a lot of people have said it was great to see Meghan showing a lighter side to her personality and also poking fun at herself.

       "And in some ways, this was the Sussex PR machine in full swing, attempting to reboot Meghan's image and I think so far it's been somewhat quite successful especially after a difficult year."
