Meghan Markle has been hit with another blow as critics continue to slam season two of her Netflix show “With Love, Meghan”. The new season, which aired on Tuesday, followed a similar format to season one, with the Duchess of Sussex cooking and hosting for celebrity friends.
While many have expressed positive views of the show, a number of critics have continued to slate it. The Duchess of Sussex has not publicly addressed the criticism and instead has continued sharing snippets of her show on social media. Among the latest critics is British magazine The Spectator, which describes the new episodes as “just as ghastly as season one”.

Alexander Larman wrote: “It is fair to say that the many attempts to launch her as a solo star – via television, podcasts and, of course, her ‘As Ever’ product range – have not been as successful as she (and those with a vested interest in her earning power) might have wished.
“Unless she is prepared to write yet another tell-all memoir, she risks dwindling into obscurity.”
Another critic is The Guardian's Lucy Mangan, who called the new season “so boring”. She wrote this week: “It's so boring, so contrived, so effortfully whimsical that, do you know what? In the end, it does become almost fascinating.”

Among those who seemed to love the new series was magazine Town & Country, with their review saying: “When Meghan is slightly out of her comfort zone, With Love, Meghan succeeds; the series is best when she is learning alongside the audience, and authentically reacting to new things.”
Another fan of the show was The BBC's Sean Coughlan who called With Love, Meghan a form of “escapism and aspiration”.
He said: “It's a glass of something sparkling on a grey day.”
