       KUWAIT CITY, Oct 21: The Ministry of Interiors Traffic department in its step to digital transformation using “My Identity” App is planning for features to download digital versions of driving license, car registration or by creating similar apps which will include these features.

       The security sources stated that it would like to continue the trend for Kuwaiti citizens and expats and relieve them from carrying Civil ID cards and Driving Licenses where they can retrieve the digital version from the app instead of getting penalized for not carrying, reports Al Rai. The traffic department’s patrol team will be equipped with advanced technical devices where any violations will be sent immediately over the mobile phone in a text message to the violators. The time, place and type of violation will be mentioned. This will enable right to information on part of the violator and will ensure the traffic department can collect the fines in a much quicker manner.
