PETALING JAYA: Kampung Nahaba Tegudon and Kampung Linau in Kota Belud, Sabah, will be put under enhanced movement control order starting Tuesday (June 29).
Senior Minister (Security) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said those areas recorded a rise in Covid-10 cases recently after 20 out of a total of 63 tests conducted there came back positive.
"Nine out of the 48 tests ini Kampung Nahaba Tegudon came back positive, while 11 out of 15 tests came back positive in Kampung Linau," he said on Sunday (June 27).
The EMCO will be in place in those areas until July 12.
Meanwhile, EMCO at Kampung Penimbawan in Tuaran, Sabah, which was scheduled to end on Monday (June 28), has been extended until July 12 after 53 out of 1, 693 tests came back positive.
Separately, EMCO in several areas in Labuan, Sabah and Sarawak will end on June 28.
Among them are 11 long houses and SK Stalon in Tanjung Manis, Mukah, Sarawak, where the EMCO will be lifted a day ahead of schedule.
The enhanced MCO at Kampung Tabuan Haji Drahman in Kuching will be lifted as scheduled on June 28.
In Sabah, enhanced MCO will end in Kampung Lebak Moyoh in Kota Belud, Batu 3.5 Jalan Apas in Tawau and Kampung Tanjung Kapor in Kudat.
EMCO in five sub-zones in Labuan will also end on June 28.
