PETALING JAYA: Malaysia recorded 22,070 new Covid-19 cases on Friday (Aug 27), says the Health Ministry.

       Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, in a series of tweets, said that this brings the cumulative number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 1,662,913 cases.

       Selangor had the most new cases with 5,920 infections, followed by Sabah (3,010), Sarawak (2,224) and Kedah (2,072).

       Labuan was the only locality to record single-digit figures with eight new Covid-19 cases on Friday.

       Sehingga 27 Ogos 2021: Jumlah kes COVID-19 yang dilaporkan adalah 22,070 kes (1,662,913 kes).

       Selangor - 5,920 (585,652)

       WPKL - 1,068 (169,773)

       Sabah - 3,010 (137,527)

       Johor - 1,809 (130,475)

       Sarawak - 2,224 (107,296)
