IPOH: A 36-year-old school hostel warden from Bagan Datuk has pleaded guilty at the Sessions Court here to accepting a bribe four years ago.
Muhamad Rozi Ahmad Puad, who was unrepresented, was fined RM8,000 in default eight months' jail and also jailed for a day by Sessions judge S. Indra Nehru on Wednesday (Oct 13).
Muhamad Rozi, who was charged under Section 165 of the Penal Code, was said to have received RM5,800 from one Ahmad Tarmizi Hariff.
According to the charge sheet, the money was remitted into his bank account on July 31, 2017, as a fee to not make any deductions from a food supply services contract.
