KOTA BARU: Three Immigration, Customs, Quarantine and Security (ICQS) complexes at the Malaysia-Thailand border in Kelantan were fully reopened on Thursday (May 5) for commercial and social visit purposes.

       Kelantan Immigration director Azhar Ab Hamid said the three ICQS are in Rantau Panjang, Bukit Bunga and Pengkalan Kubor.

       He said people wishing to enter Thailand and Malaysia must comply with the standard operating procedures (SOP) set by both countries.

       "Apart from that, other conditions set by the Health Ministry include travellers from Thailand having to be fully vaccinated and their travel documents must be complete,” he said when contacted by Bernama Thursday.

       On Wednesday (May 4), Perlis Immigration director Khairul Amin Taib said beginning Friday, the Malaysia-Thai border checkpoint at Padang Besar will open daily from 6am to 10pm. - Bernama
