PETALING JAYA: A non-governmental organisation has stepped forward to help frontliners fight Covid-19 by donating seven ventilators worth RM800, 000 to Hospital Selayang’s intensive care unit.
Elite Community Organisation, through its advisers Datuk Seri Eric Chia YY and his wife Datin Seri Joanne, handed over the machines to the hospital in a brief ceremony on Wednesday.
Vital machines: Chia receiving a certificate of appreciation from Dr Tengku Intan Norleen after giving the ventilators at Hospital Selayang.
“I cannot make the number of Covid-19 cases come down, but at least I can help save more lives, ” Chia said in a statement.
Hospital Selayang deputy director Dr Tengku Intan Norleen Tengku Sharif and head of anaesthesiology department Dr Haslinda Abd Hashim received the life-saving medical equipment on behalf of the hospital.
