ACTRESS Fasha Sandha (pic), 37, has denied she is pregnant and attributes the speculation to her role in the drama series Scammer.
Fasha said her role as Nisa came with challenges.
“I have to maintain the role of a pregnant mother who is always emotional and wants to be pampered. I am not pregnant but when I play the role, I even have to watch the way I walk, ” she told Berita Harian.
She added that she had to wear a 15kg fake belly every day, which caused abrasions and itchiness on her stomach.
“I’ve used fake stomachs before, but they were empty inside. This silicone tummy is heavy, but I don’t mind, ” she said.
Fasha advised all newcomers to the industry to always accept criticism, learn on the set, be humble, and always improve on their mistakes.
“Honestly, when I started acting, I didn’t know what it meant. I only knew how to spew out the dialogue, like a new actor.
“But I was always disciplined, committed and always learning on the set.
“I learned from my experience on the set. I always remind new actors that people don’t mind if they are very stiff when they start, ” she said.
She said she went through many challenges in her 16 years as actress.
“Directors will have many opinions, and we have receive them openly. Good artistes do that to improve themselves, ” she said.
She added that the emergence of new actors was good for the industry.
> The General Operations Force (GOF) seized 20 bulls believed to be for Hari Raya Haji after stopping a lorry in Pasir Mas, Kelantan, on Monday.
Sinar Harian reported that the lorry driver failed to produce a valid permit to transport the Brahman bulls, valued at about RM252, 000 in total.
GOF investigations revealed the bulls were being taken from a farm in Tumpat to Selangor.
The driver, his assistant and the cargo were brought to the Jeram Perdah police station.
The GOF said they were tightening controls in an effort to prevent the spread of the Lumpy Skin Disease that affects cows.
