Covid-19: EMCO for localities in five states from Aug 6, says Hisham

       KUALA LUMPUR: An enhanced movement control order will be imposed in several localities in five states from Aug 6 until Aug 19, says Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein.

       The Senior Minister said the states involved are Johor, Sabah, Kelantan, Perak and Selangor.

       For Johor, Hishammuddin said Taman Puteri in Kluang would be under an enhanced MCO while in Kelantan, the area in Taman Sri Kebakat in Tumpat and for Selangor, Gugusan Semarak in PJU 5, Kota Damansara, would be involved.

       "For Sabah, the localities are Perumahan Ladang Mostyn and Kampung Kasnuri in Kunak, Kampung Kuala Mengalong in Sipitang, Kampung Tanjung Aru Lama and Universiti Apartment 1 in Kota Kinabalu.

       "For Perak, the localities are Kampung Menteri Kuala Sepetang in the Matang sub-district; Comfort Rubber Glove Factory, Simpang; Comfort Rubber Glove Matang; and Comfort Rubber Glove Factory's hostel in Hujung Matang in Larut-Matang-Selama and Kampung Belum Baru in Hulu Perak," the Foreign Minister said in a statement Wednesday (Aug 4).

       Hishammuddin also announced that the enhanced MCO at several localities in Sabah, Pahang and Perak would end on Aug 5.

       "In Sabah, the localities are One Borneo condominium in Kota Kinabalu as well as Kampung Istimewa, Batu Sapi and Taman Merpati in Sandakan.

       "The other areas are Felda Jengka 12 in Jerantut, Pahang and Bandar Pulai Jaya, Sungai Raja in Kinta, Perak," he said.
