KOTA KINABALU: An eight-year-old boy had a painful ordeal when his genitals were caught in his zipper in school in Sabah's Membakut district on Tuesday (Jan 11).

       The boy wanted to urinate and was pulling down the zipper on his pants when the incident happened at about 9am.

       He started crying and asked his teacher for help. The teacher then brought the boy to a nearby clinic.

       Kimanis fire station chief Jaffar Salleh said firemen were called in for help after that.

       "The zip had to be cut before it could be loosened and released," he said.

       The boy sustained minor injuries following the incident but all was well after that.
