KOTA KINABALU: The Organisational Anti-Corruption Plan (OACP) for four entities under the Sabah Agriculture and Fisheries Ministry was launched on Tuesday (June 7) to boost integrity.

       They are the Sabah Fisheries Department, Korporasi Pembangunan Desa, Sabah Rubber Industry Board and Ko-Nelayan.

       State Agriculture and Fisheries Minister Datuk Seri Dr Jeffrey Kitingan (pic) said the plan is a document at organisational level to curb weaknesses regarding governance and integrity within an organisation.

       Kitingan said the four OACP are extensions to the plan for the ministry, launched on Aug 27 last year.

       “The continuous efforts to develop our own anti-corruption documents at all levels demonstrate our commitment to serving the people more effectively and with more transparency.

       “At the same time, these OACP reflect the ministry, as well as the departments and agencies under it, as a corruption-free organisation with a high value of integrity,” he said.

       Kitingan reminded all ministry staff, including agencies under it, to continue upholding integrity in management and the implementation of development projects.

       He also thanked the Sabah Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission office and Sabah Integrity and Governance Unit for their support in the successful launching of the OACP.
