Sir Keir Starmer’s commiment to transparency has come into question after investigations indicated that no work has been completed on Labour's planned public "dashboard" outlining progress on its various policy pledges. The Government is committed to building a digital platform offering insights on Labour's manifesto commitments and other priorities such as NHS waiting lists and living standards.
But a Freedom of Information Act request has shown that, seven months after the site was due to launch, nothing has actually been done. Plans for the dashboard were first reported by the Financial Times after a backgrund briefing in November, with the apparent plan for it to go live the following month, coinciding with the announcement by the PM of six “milestones” by which he asked voters to judge him.

The Times, which submitted the FOI, requested copies of all email correspondence sent and received by Liz Lloyd, Starmer’s director of delivery and innovation, believed to have been tasked with preparing the dashboard. The targets are thought to be the work of Pat McFadden, the Cabinet Office minister, along with Downing Street chief of staff Morgan McSweeney.

One of them is understood to be related to living standards. The Office for National Statistics says real household disposable income — measuring how much money households have after tax — is marginally higher than when Labour took office, although there was a fall in the first quarter of the year.

Another measure is a revised aim of 92% of patients waiting a maximum of 18 weeks for routine operations by March 2029, a target hit currently just 59% of the time.
An education target may also have been included, with the aim for 75% of children to reach a good level of development by the age of five by 2028, compared with 67% now.
Ms Lloyd held a number of key positions in government under Tony Blair and returned last year after almost 20 years away.
She previously served as the deputy chief of staff at No 10 and more recently was the chief investment officer at British International Investment.
Richard Holden, Conservative MP for Basildon & Billericay, said: "Given what an unmitigated disaster Sir Keir Starmer’s government has been, it’s no surprise Labour ministers are desperately keen to bury what they’ve been up to.

"Labour came in without a plan and have staggered from frailties to failure. On every front and every metric, this has been the worst start to being PM in living memory."
Express.co.uk has approached the Cabinet Office for comment, and Number 10.
