MIRI: A voter dressed as a popular character from the Demon Slayer manga and anime series stole the limelight when he arrived at SK Pulau Melayu here to cast his ballot for the Piasau state seat.

       Nikezuandi Idris, 41, arrived riding an old bicycle.

       His effort did not go unnoticed as he caught the attention of Election Commission (EC) staff.

       Voters grabbed the opportunity to take selfies with him.

       According to Nikezuandi, in the 2016 state election, he came dressed as Batman, but was advised by EC staff to change his costume before he was allowed to cast his ballot.

       “This time I came as the Demon Slayer and luckily I was allowed to enter and vote at 11.30am.

       “We only get to vote once every five years, so I dressed like this to add some colour to the occasion,” he said at the voting centre. — Bernama
