       KUWAIT CITY, Dec 9: The issue of residence renewal for expats above 60 is still awaiting a government solution, sources revealed that the Ministry of Interior continues to grant temporary extension for expats from this category whose residence permits expire.

       The decision to ban renewal of work permits for non graduate expats above sixty still continues on the Public Authority for Manpower systems, hence expats in this category cannot renew their residence, reports Al Rai. The Ministry of Interior taking in consideration on humanitarian grounds has been granting temporary residence ranging from one month to 3 months.

       Those who are on temporary residence are cautioned not to exit the country, doing so will eventually end in losing the residence and expat cannot return back to Kuwait on the same visa.
